Workshops were conducted at an ad hoc basis depending on the need of his students and friends who wish to join his workshops in Singapore or abroad. So far, Kim Seng had conducted workshops in Sydney, Australia, Hawaii, Malaysia and China. The workshops in Sydney Australia and Hawaii were organized by the Macquarie University and the Hawaiian Watercolor workshop by the Hawaiian Watercolor Society. He was invited by watercolor Societies from Florida USA, Bangkok and Bangladesh but due to his commitments in Singapore, he has to turn down some invitations. As for his students he had conducted workshops in Melaka (Malaysia), Southern Johor (Malaysia), Bali (Indonesia) and the water villages in Zhejiang and Jiangsu Province in China.
