Involvement in the Charity Chinese Calligraphy project for fund raising for the Community Chest of Singapore during the Lunar New Year 2006. Initiated the project to invite Ministers to do Chinese calligraphy as a means to introduce the Community Chest to the Chinese speaking community as well as to promote art of Chinese calligraphy there understanding Chinese culture among the English speaking public.

On painting expedition to the outskirts of Jiangxi Province in China from early till mid May 2006 . To conduct talks to Chinese academies in Shanghai.
